Inspired by my American experience, Standing By is a musing on my place in society, and a general feeling that "We've got to do better." Musically that refrain was originally written as an outro, but through the composition/recording process it became clear to me that it should be a recurring refrain- recorded separately and sampled throughout the song, like an old melody you've always known. This is the title track from my full EP, due March 2022.
